These Got My Attention

1. I was really disturbed by this article at Monday Morning Insight… Politics in religion… that is not good. I may really go off on this one day, but for now I’ll just say I don’t like it.

2. I loved this post by Craig Groeschel. This guy gets it and is working to help us all see that those of us who follow Jesus should act like it.

3. Perry gave some great insight on how to handle criticism in this post. I love this because I see what all comes at this guy and how he processes it… I love following a guy who sets a great example.

4. I loved this post on Seth Godin’s blog because I don’t understand it. Can someone help me with this riddle?

5. Pictures like this keep me in awe of how huge God is.

6. I thought Ken (avclub.us) did a great job on this opener for our new series.

I think the Kottke post is comparing technology and humanity in an effort to show that resisting change is easiest but not necessarily best. If we stay in our current state, we will remain stagnant, gaining nothing. If we risk being broken, we can move forward. Maybe I missed something, but that’s what struck me, anyway.

    Tara Leigh,

That is excellent insight. I see why Lee thinks you’re so smart! Thanks for reading the blog.

    Shane,

I have become a fan. Loved hearing you at “Unleash” and have been enjoying the blog.

What I took away from Godin’s post was that authenticity and integrity come before anything else. Some key points that jumped out at me were: know your product, being relevant, making and keeping promises, how you treat people, promise and deliver human wants.

You can dress up a cow pie, but it is what it is. You may even get someone to buy it once. Keep your integrity in tact. Believe and have a passion in what you are marketing and people will find it attractive.

Thanks Rick! I see where you’re coming from on this.
